Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- Berhampur Additional District Judge (Ad hoc) Fast Track POCSO Court on Tuesday awarded death sentence to a man for the murder of his minor niece. The convict has been identified as Siprun Digal.

He had killed his minor niece in an incident dating back to April 25, 2022.

The murder took place in the Vidyanagar area under Goilundi within Berhampur. According to police records, Digal was previously lodged in Phulbani Jail in conviction of his wife's murder.
