Bhubaneswar, April 2 -- A potentially life-threatening medical emergency on an Air India flight from Tokyo to New Delhi was expertly handled by a doctor onboard, ensuring the flight continued safely without an emergency landing. 

The dramatic incident unfolded nearly eight hours into the journey when a 21-year-old passenger began suffering severe chest pain and breathlessness.

Doctor's Swift Intervention Saves the Day

Dr. Loni Liriina, a critical care specialist from Imphal, immediately stepped in after the flight crew announced the emergency. The passenger, who had a history of asthma, was found to be in acute respiratory distress with dangerously low oxygen levels and unstable vital signs.
