Bhubaneswar, May 16 -- A tragic accident claimed the life of a construction worker after a wall collapsed at Chakratirtha Road in Puri on Saturday. The mishap occurred while labourers were reportedly engaged in construction-related work at the site, triggering panic among locals and fellow workers present nearby.

According to preliminary reports, the worker was buried under the debris after the wall suddenly caved in without warning. Soon after the incident, personnel from the fire services department rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation to retrieve those trapped beneath the rubble. After strenuous efforts, the rescue team recovered the body of the labourer from under the collapsed structure.
