Bhubaneswar, March 17 -- A proposed high-speed expressway linking Kharagpur with Vijayawada will pass through nine districts of Odisha, significantly enhancing regional connectivity and economic prospects.
The six-lane greenfield corridor is planned to traverse Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada and Koraput districts, forming a key transport artery across the state.
A high-level review meeting on the project was chaired by Works Department Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh at Lok Seva Bhawan on Tuesday. Discussions focused on finalising the alignment of the expressway and addressing land acquisition challenges.
