Bhubaneswar, July 13 -- Tikiri Sarpanch Chameli Ojha from Mahakalapada block in Odisha's Kendrapara district on Monday launched an indefinite hunger strike at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar, demanding action against the Mahakalapada Block Development Officer (BDO) and the local Inspector-in-Charge (IIC).

Ojha alleged that she was subjected to misbehaviour at the Mahakalapada BDO's office on June 11 while visiting the office in connection with official work. According to her, the incident escalated following an altercation, after which she was taken into police custody and later arrested.
