Bhubaneswar, June 8 -- The impact of Kalbaisakhi is likely to continue across Odisha for the next three days, with thunderstorms and rain expected in several districts.

The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued an Orange Alert for seven districts on Monday, warning of thunderstorms and rainfall.

The districts placed under Orange Alert are Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar in northern Odisha, along with Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur in the southern region of the state.

Storms and rain already affected several parts of Odisha, particularly the coastal belt, where the influence of Kalbaisakhi was witnessed over the past few days.
