Bhubaneswar, April 10 -- Tomato farmers in Odisha's Balasore are facing growing distress as their crops have suffered significant losses, leaving them in a state of uncertainty. After already struggling with low market prices, the situation has worsened due to recent weather conditions damaging the remaining produce.
Farmers said they were unable to sell their tomatoes earlier due to distress sales, which led to unsold stock piling up. The situation has now deteriorated further, with a large portion of the remaining crop getting destroyed.
