Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- After days of scorching heat and unbearable humidity, people across Odisha finally breathed a sigh of relief as Kalbaisakhi showers lashed the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on Wednesday evening.

From the capital city Bhubaneswar to the industrial hub of Rourkela, heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds brought down temperatures significantly, providing much-needed comfort to residents struggling with oppressive weather conditions.
