Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- JSW Utkal Steel signed an agreement with the OdishaGovernment to develop a captive jetty at Jatahar Muhan in Jagatsinghpur district. The initiative coincides with the JSW Group's larger expansion plans.

This includes a 50:50 joint venture between JSW Steel and South Korea's POSCO to build a 6 MTPA greenfield steel plant in Odisha with a Rs 35,000 crore investment by 2031, initially located on an 887-acre land parcel held by JSW's subsidiary, Saffron Resources as reported by The Hindu.

The jetty project will be executed through JSW Infrastructure's wholly-owned subsidiary, JSW Jatadhar Marine Services.
