Bhubaneswar, April 4 -- In a major crackdown on a fraudulent job racket, police in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha arrested as many as five individuals, including the prime accused, for allegedly cheating job seekers on the pretext of providing government employment.
According to reports, the accused were collecting Rs 20,000 from each aspirant, promising them government jobs. The victims were reportedly brainwashed and kept confined in a rented house near Hat Bazar under Jagatsinghpur Sadar Police Station limits. Shockingly, they were not allowed to communicate with their family members, raising serious concerns about illegal detention.
