Jhamu Yatra celebrated with traditional rituals and fire walk at Maa Sarala shrine in Jagatsinghpur
Bhubaneswar, April 14 -- The sacred 'Jhamu Yatra' is being observed at the revered shrine of Maa Sarala in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur on Tuesday, drawing a large number of devotees and participants to the temple premises.
As part of the age-old tradition, the idol of the Goddess is ceremonially carried in a beautifully decorated palanquin (bimana) from the temple to the nearby Charaki ground, located close to the Nanda temple. This grand procession is accompanied by religious fervour and devotion.
