Bhubaneswar, April 25 -- Japan's leading steelmaker, JFE Steel Corporation, will invest Rs 15,000 crore in Odisha in partnership with JSW Steel, marking the largest Japanese investment in the state to date.
The joint venture, JSW JFE Steel Limited, was formally inaugurated at the JSW plant in Thelkoli, located in Sambalpur district, in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday.
The inauguration of the facility is being seen as a significant step in Odisha's industrial expansion. The project underscores strengthening India-Japan industrial collaboration and is expected to enhance manufacturing capabilities in the region.
