Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- A major robbery attempt targeting a jewellery shop owner was foiled near Paduna in Soro, Odisha after four miscreants allegedly opened fire at his car late Sunday night. The accused arrived on motorcycles and fired four rounds at the vehicle while the jeweller was returning home after closing his shop at Kupari market. However, they failed to loot the jewellery and fled the spot.

According to the complaint, the jeweller was travelling home from Kupari market when the four miscreants allegedly intercepted his car near Paduna. They opened fire at the vehicle in an apparent attempt to carry out the robbery.
