Bhubaneswar, Oct. 24 -- Political tensions have intensified in Odisha's Jaleswar following the alleged rape and murder of a minor girl, with opposition parties Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress demanding an impartial investigation, accountability and justice for the victim's family.

The incident, which occurred on October 18, has drawn the attention of opposition parties, which have called on the authorities to ensure a thorough investigation of every aspect of the case and to bring to justice all those involved, if any.
