Bhubaneswar, Oct. 21 -- The 67th Police Commemoration Day was observed at the Police Headquarters in Buxi Bazaar of Cuttack district in Odisha on Tuesday to pay tribute to police officers and personnel who lost their lives while fighting Naxalites and other criminals.

Odisha DGP Binaytosh Mishra and other senior police officers paid floral tributes to the martyrs. A guard of honour was also presented in their memory.

Speaking on the occasion, DGP Binaytosh Mishra said the police would respond firmly to Naxalites, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and other criminals.

He said the police were prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice while fighting crime and protecting people.
