Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- A bomb threat sent to the headquarters of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru triggered a major security response on Thursday, prompting police and bomb disposal teams to conduct an extensive search of the premises.

The threat, sent via email to the office of ISRO Chairman Dr V Narayanan, was later declared a hoax after officials found no suspicious objects during the operation.

According to police, the threatening email was received at the office of the ISRO Chairman, leading authorities to immediately activate security protocols. Police personnel, along with bomb squad teams, reached the headquarters and carried out a thorough sanitisation and search of the entire premises.
