ISKCON's untimely Rath Yatra events abroad trigger fresh concern among Jagannath devotees
Bhubaneswar, May 17 -- Fresh concerns surfaced among Jagannath devotees after ISKCON reportedly organised Rath Yatra celebrations in South Africa outside the traditional schedule associated with the festival.
According to reports, ISKCON South Africa organised a two-day Rath Yatra celebration in Johannesburg on May 15 and 16.
The development has drawn criticism and concern among Jagannath devotees, particularly Odias residing abroad, who reportedly expressed dissatisfaction over the celebration of Rath Yatra outside the prescribed tithi.
