Bhubaneswar, May 2 -- A raid by the district administration was carried out at an iron ore mine in Sanindapur under Koida in Odisha's Sundargarh district on Saturday.
The action followed allegations of illegal mining beyond the approved lease area, amid claims that operations were conducted outside the authorised boundary of Grewal Mines.
A team led by the Sub-Collector reached the site and initiated a detailed investigation. The development has drawn attention as the mine, operating under the name Grewal Mines, holds a lease covering 70.917 hectares.
