Bhubaneswar, March 15 -- India on Saturday said it is in touch with key stakeholders in West Asia to ensure the safe passage of Indian-flagged merchant vessels through the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States.
Officials said two LPG carriers - Shivalik and Nanda Devi - carrying 92,700 metric tonnes of LPG transited the strategic waterway early on Saturday and are now heading towards Indian ports. The vessels are expected to dock at Mundra Port on March 16 and Kandla Port on March 17.
