Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- Bolagarh Police in Odisha's Khordha district have achieved a major breakthrough by seizing 60 kilograms of ganja and 110 bottles of illegal cough syrup during a vehicle checking operation on National Highway-57 on Tuesday.

The seizure was made when police personnel were conducting routine patrolling on the highway and intercepted a car and a motorcycle coming from the Kandhamal side. Acting on suspicion, the police stopped both the vehicles and carried out a detailed search.

During the inspection, a huge quantity of ganja was found concealed inside the car. Police also recovered 110 bottles of illegal cough syrup from the vehicles.
