Bhubaneswar, July 13 -- A pregnant woman gave birth to a baby girl on a tractor after an ambulance allegedly failed to reach her village due to the absence of a motorable road in Dabirighati village under Jayapatna block of Odisha's Kalahandi district on Sunday. The incident has exposed the poor road connectivity in remote areas, where residents continue to face difficulties in accessing emergency healthcare.

The woman developed labour pain on Sunday morning, following which her family called an ambulance.
