Bhubaneswar, March 20 -- Indian Railways has reported a significant improvement in safety performance, with a steep decline in both train accidents and casualties over the past decade, reflecting sustained investments and technological upgrades across the network. According to official data presented in the Lok Sabha, the national transporter has achieved a 60% reduction in consequential train accidents and a 17% drop in deaths over the last ten years.
