Bhubaneswar, July 4 -- With incessant rainfall continuing to lash the Odisha capital, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has stepped up its preparedness to tackle waterlogging and ensure a swift response to any rain-related emergencies.

The civic body has activated its Command and Control Centre, from where the situation is being closely monitored. Acting on the directions of the BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana and the Mayor Sulochana Das, the Additional Commissioner is overseeing the city's flood management and coordinating response measures.
