Incessant rain triggers waterlogging in Odisha's Sonepur, normal life affected
Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- Continuous rainfall disrupted normal life in Binika town of Odisha's Sonepur district, with water logging reported from several areas after two days of incessant rain. The situation worsened in multiple localities, leaving residents struggling to carry out their daily activities.
Among the worst-affected areas were Wards 4 and 5, where knee-deep water accumulated, making movement difficult for residents. Students were also unable to attend school as stagnant water collected in front of their homes. Locals also alleged that the rising water level even started entering their houses.
