Bhubaneswar, April 12 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert warning for hot and humid conditions across several districts of Odisha, even as parts of the state are expected to witness light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in the coming days. The alert covers coastal and adjoining districts including Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Ganjam, where discomfort due to high humidity levels is likely to persist.
According to the IMD forecast, on April 12, thunderstorm activity accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is likely to occur at isolated places in districts such as Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cutt...
