Bhubaneswar, Feb. 28 -- A serious allegation has emerged regarding the illegal transfer of a child from Yashoda Ashram, sparking widespread concern in the Odisha's Kalahandi district. The matter came to light after the District Child Protection Unit investigated the case, raising questions about oversight and child safety in orphanages.

The child, who had arrived at the Yashoda Orphan Ashram in Dharmagarh on 26 June 2019, was under the care of the ashram management committee.
