Bhubaneswar, Aug. 30 -- A woman was allegedly killed by her husband, who later reportedly attempted to take his own life in Jamdapala village under Bangriposi police station limits in Odisha's Mayurbhanj on Saturday.

The deceased woman has been identified as Tuni Singh. Her husband, Baidyanath Singh, was found seriously injured and was rescued by Bangriposi police before being admitted to hospital for treatment.

According to reports, Tuni was found lying in a blood-soaked condition on the veranda of the couple's thatched house. Baidyanath was also found lying in an injured and bloodied condition at the spot.
