Bhubaneswar, Aug. 5 -- A coal lorry plunged nearly 30 feet after reportedly losing control near Manetri Bridge in Athmallik block of Odisha's Angul district on Wednesday.

The accident occurred when the vehicle was returning towards Banarpal from Kiagata after unloading coal.

According to reports, the driver remained trapped inside the heavily damaged vehicle following the accident. Locals rushed to the spot and rescued him in a critical condition.

Subsequently, he was rushed to the Athmallik Community Health Centre for treatment. No further details regarding the identity of the injured driver were immediately available.
