Bhubaneswar, June 3 -- The historic Mahendra Purushottam Mela and World Peace Mahayajna commenced at Gajapati district's Mahendragiri peak on Wednesday, creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere atop one of Odisha's most significant religious sites. The annual event has drawn thousands of devotees, saints, and spiritual seekers from different parts of the State and outside.

A major highlight of the opening day was the grand Kalash Yatra, in which thousands of women devotees participated with deep religious devotion.
