Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6 -- Continuous heavy rainfall overnight severely disrupted normal life across Bhubaneswar. The city recorded up to 107 mm of rain in the last 12 hours. Downpours that began on Wednesday night continued until Thursday morning, leaving roads waterlogged and low-lying residential areas inundated.

According to meteorologist Umashankar Das, the highest rainfall in the city was recorded at Madhusudan Nagar. The area reportedly received 107 mm of rain during the 12-hour period ending Thursday morning. As of 5:30 am on Thursday, Bhubaneswar recorded an overall rainfall of 97.2 mm.
