Heavy rain batters Odisha; Bargarh's Ambabhona records highest rainfall at 180 mm
Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- Several parts of Odisha continued to receive heavy rainfall on Thursday. Ambabhona in Odisha's Bargarh district reportedly recorded the highest rainfall of 180 mm by 8:30 am.
The downpour was reported from multiple districts as the state remained under the influence of active weather systems.
Reports suggest that apart from Ambabhona, Yujumura in Sambalpur district received 130.8 mm of rainfall, while Attabira and Bhatli in Bargarh recorded 120 mm and 110.8 mm, respectively. Birmaharajpur in Sonepur district also recorded 107 mm of rainfall, the weather office said.
