Bhubaneswar, April 28 -- Large parts of Odisha are currently under the grip of intense heatwave conditions, with western districts bearing the brunt of soaring temperatures, while coastal regions are experiencing oppressive heat coupled with high humidity.
According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave conditions are likely to persist across several parts of western Odisha. Districts such as Bolangir, Kalahandi, Boudh, Nayagarh, and Subarnapur (Sonepur) have been placed under a Yellow Warning, indicating the need for caution due to extreme heat.
Residents in these areas are facing scorching daytime temperatures, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.
