Bhubaneswar, April 10 -- Heatwave condition is set to intensify across Odisha starting Saturday, with a sharp rise in both temperature and humidity levels, making conditions increasingly uncomfortable, especially in coastal regions.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), day temperatures are expected to increase significantly across the state over the next couple of days. The mercury is likely to rise by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius, pushing temperatures close to or beyond the 40degC mark in several parts of the state.
