Bhubaneswar, Sept. 20 -- Gundicha Temple in Puri may reopen to devotees in the first week of October as most of the development work at the temple has reached its final stage.

The possibility of reopening emerged after Srimandir Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee, members of the Srimandir Management Committee and senior administrative officials inspected the temple premises on Saturday. The inspection was carried out to review the ongoing work and arrangements before devotees are allowed inside.
