Whether it's office commuters crawling through bottlenecks, ambulances struggling for passage, or families missing important appointments, the city's roads frequently test public patience.
The problem has become so severe that Bengaluru was recently ranked among the world's most congested cities, with commuters losing hundreds of hours annually to traffic snarls. According to the latest TomTom Traffic Index, the city recorded a congestion level of 74.4%, making it the second most congested city globally in 2025.
