Bhubaneswar, April 3 -- Christian community across the world are observing Good Friday today, commemorating the sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ for mankind with solemn prayers and reflection. In Odisha, the occasion is being marked with similar devotion across the state.

In Kandhamal district, believers gathered in churches to offer prayers. Ahead of the observance, congregational prayers were held in several churches across the district. 

In Kandhamal's Phulbani, large numbers of devotees assembled at the Catholic Church and the Baptist Church to offer collective prayers in a peaceful and disciplined manner.
