Bhubaneswar, March 21 -- Gold and silver prices witnessed a sharp decline in the domestic market, offering temporary relief to buyers. On Saturday, the price of 22-carat gold fell by Rs 2,750 per 10 grams, bringing the rate down to Rs 1,33,800.
Similarly, 24-carat gold dropped by Rs 2,940 per 10 grams. Over the past week, gold prices have recorded a cumulative decline of Rs 12,550, indicating a notable downward trend in the bullion market.
Silver prices also saw a steep correction, falling by Rs 10,000 in a single move. Over the past week, the metal has declined by Rs 30,000. At present, silver is trading at around Rs 2.5 lakh per kilogram.
