Bhubaneswar, Oct. 1 -- A diarrhoea and vomiting outbreak has raised concern in parts of Ganjam district, with two people reportedly dead and several others falling ill.

Reportedly, the latest death was reported from Rajanapalli village under Sanakhemundi block. A day earlier, a person from nearby Marthapur village had also died after reportedly suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting. Four others were reported to be seriously ill.

The two deceased and the four seriously ill patients had reportedly attended a dashaaha feast recently, raising suspicion that contaminated food or water may have triggered the illness.
