Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- The investigation into the alleged third-degree torture case at Kabisuryanagar police limits in Ganjam district has gathered momentum, with Southern Range IG Niti Shekhar indicating that stringent action may be taken based on the findings of the probe.

The much-awaited post-mortem report is expected to be released on Tuesday. Officials believe the report will help determine the exact cause of death of Sushant Sahu and clarify whether the deceased succumbed to injuries allegedly sustained during police custody.
