Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- Ganja smugglers appear to be constantly changing their tactics to evade the police. From using vehicles carrying rice, potatoes and milk to conceal contraband, smugglers have now found another unusual cover in the name of cashew shells.

In a major crackdown, Firingia police in Kandhamal district on Monday have foiled an attempt to transport ganja from Kandhamal to Maharashtra under the guise of carrying cashew shells.

Acting on specific information, police intercepted a truck suspected of being involved in the illegal transportation. During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a huge quantity of ganja concealed in the truck.
