Bhubaneswar, Sept. 3 -- A new route being used to smuggle ganja through courier services has been busted in Odisha's Bolangir district, with police seizing 113 kg of cannabis and arresting seven persons. The accused, all from the Mohangiri area of Kalahandi district, allegedly used an e-commerce company's courier network to send ganja consignments to Uttar Pradesh and other states.

Police said the accused had registered themselves with the e-commerce company in the name of a saree centre. Ganja was allegedly packed into boxes and handed over at the company's Bolangir point, with the consignments being shown as household appliances and other goods.
