Bhubaneswar, Oct. 26 -- A youth identified as Bapan, who was allegedly accused in a ganja case, was found dead at a hotel in Malkangiri district on Monday. It is said that Haryana Police had taken Bapan into custody from Malkangiri on allegations of ganja trading.

According to sources, the accused was kept at a hotel when his body was found hanging there. The circumstances surrounding his death have raised questions, with his family and relatives seeking clarity over what exactly happened.

After the news of Bapan's untimely death came to light, his family and relatives reached Malkangiri police station and staged a protest. Tension was reported on the police station premises following the incident.
