Bhubaneswar, July 5 -- The recent spate of gang-related violence in Bhubaneswar has raised serious concerns over the city's law and order situation. Within the past two days, rival youth groups allegedly engaged in violent clashes in Chandrasekharpur Police Station area, openly wielding swords, machetes and other weapons, leaving residents terrified.

The repeated incidents have sparked fears that gang culture and street intimidation are gaining ground in the State Capital.

One of the major incidents took place near Buddha Vihar colony on Thursday afternoon, where members of two rival groups reportedly hurled stones and chased each other with sharp weapons on a busy public road.
