Bhubaneswar, Sept. 21 -- Four people sustained injuries after a DJ vehicle carrying a Ganesh idol came into contact with an 11KV electricity wire during an immersion procession at Hatapada in Maneswar in Odisha's Sambalpur.

The incident occurred when the procession was underway. The four people collapsed and lost consciousness at the spot after coming in contact with the live wire. They were later taken to Sambalpur Sadar Hospital for treatment.

The seriously injured sustained burns to their hands and legs. Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
