Bhubaneswar, Sept. 27 -- A Ganesh immersion procession in Jatni turned tragic after a concrete slab of a two-storey building collapsed, leaving one person dead and more than 14 others injured.

The incident occurred near Punjab National Bank, where a large crowd had gathered to watch the immersion procession. The injured were rushed to Capital Hospital and AIIMS Bhubaneswar for treatment.

According to reports, the concrete slab allegedly collapsed due to intense vibrations caused by loud DJ music being played during the procession. The high-decibel sound and heavy bass from the DJ systems are suspected to have triggered vibrations in the old structure before a portion of it came crashing down on people gathered below.
