Bhubaneswar, Sept. 14 -- Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated across Odisha on Thursday. People in villages and cities are coming together to worship Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. Students are among the most enthusiastic participants, with schools and local puja committees making preparations for the festival.

The celebrations have also brought competition over the size of idols, pandal decorations and themes. While some places have installed 62-foot idols, others have gone for massive 72-foot idols as part of the festivities.

For students, Ganesh Chaturthi is not only a festival but also an occasion to seek blessings for their studies and future.
