Bhubaneswar, June 21 -- A train passenger gave birth to twin babies in two separate locations within a short span of time on Sunday in Odisha. The unique medical delivery sequence commenced inside a general coach of a running train and concluded within an emergency transit ambulance before reaching the hospital.

The incident reportedly occurred while the pregnant woman was travelling in the general coach of the Rourkela-Gunupur Rajyarani Express. Upon developing sudden labour pains, the situation was urgently conveyed to the authorities through the Rail Madad portal.

Following the alert, a team from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) immediately deployed to Cuttack railway station.
