Bhubaneswar, Sept. 30 -- From growing up amid financial hardships to standing on the international podium, Indian athlete Vithya Ramraj through her determination and hard work has scripted an inspiring success story.

Vithya delivered a remarkable performance at the ongoing Asian Games, winning three medals and earning praise for her performances on the track.

In the women's 400m hurdles, Vithya created history by completing the race in 54.75 seconds to win a bronze medal.

With this performance, she broke legendary Indian athlete PT Usha's 42-year-old record. At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, Usha had clocked 55.42 seconds in the 400m event.
