Bhubaneswar, April 16 -- In a milestone that redefines the role of women within the Indian Armed Forces, Squadron Leader Manisha Padhi has etched her name into the nation's military history. 

By becoming the first female officer to be appointed as Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the Mizoram Governor, she dismantled a long-standing glass ceiling, showcasing the progressive inclusion of women in critical leadership and protocol assignments.

The significance of her role was most recently on display at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, where she participated in the swearing-in ceremony for Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati on January 3, 2025.
