Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- Keonjhar Police busted a major gang allegedly involved in the theft of transformers and electrical wires and arrested 16 persons in connection with the case on Thursday. Among those arrested are two electrical engineers, whose alleged involvement emerged as a key aspect of the investigation.

The gang's network reportedly extended across several districts of Odisha. The investigation began following the theft of a transformer and electrical wires from the Ramchandrapur Driving Training Centre in Keonjhar, which led police to uncover the wider network.
